A journey to Sikkim remains incomplete with no visit to North Sikkim, which has several of the most amazing views of the Yumthang Valley, pictorial villages, Lachung and Lachen and the Gurudongmar Lake, one of the most stunning, fabulous and holy lakes bordered on all sides by snow clad mountains. Gurudongmar Lake at an altitude of 17100 feet, is among the top 15 uppermost lakes in the world and is the second highest lake in Sikkim over and above in India, the first being Cholamu lake at a height of 18000 feet, also located in Sikkim. The panoramic and charming exquisiteness of the place is a spectacle to observe. Named after Guru Dongmar, the lake has a spiritual appeal. The sight of Mount Siniolchu and Khanchendzonga is overwhelming from that point. The prettiness of the lake is overwhelming and out of the world show.
