
In addition to the main attraction of one horned rhinoceros, the fauna or wildlife of the park comprise Indian elephant, bison, leopard, diverse species of deer, turtles, pythons, monkeys and nearly 230 species of birds. The park is a birdwatcher's paradise with attractive birds namely Indian pied hornbill, woodpeckers, sunbird, fly catcher, minivet, drongo, pheasants and large number of migratory birds particularly during winter season and during jungle oe elephant safari. Brahmany duck is a habitual visitor and the birds be observed from watching points and observatory at Suksukia in the park.
