Trip to Dooars may not be complete without visit to Gorumara. Situated on the flood plain land of Murti and Jaldhaka Rivers, the Gorumara National Park offers a huge range of wildlife and birds. The grassland of Gorumara is the home of Asiatic one horned rhino. In view of its enormous variety of plants and animals it was declared a National Park in 1994 covering an area of 80 square kilometres.
Gorumara forest is the tourist spot in dooars and for years together and visitors flock here in great numbers.The jungle jeep , elephant safari are the added attractions of Dooars and adjoining areas.
