Places to see in and around Ravangla, West Sikkim, India

Khandosangphu and Sharchog Bephug. It is in these two holy caves Guru Padmasambhava who spread Buddhism in Tibet in the 7th century is believed to have meditated on his passage to Tibet. 

Khandosangphu Cave is positioned 35 kilometres from Ravangla. Sharchog Bephug located at Sangmo village is the biggest among holy caves which extends between Menam and Tendong hills. 

Kheunpheling Carpet Centre is situated in the Tibetan Refugee Settlement Camp at Ravangla. Designs of tradition these woven woolen carpets are the finest Tibetan carpets. 

Ralang Monasteries About 12 kilometres from Ravangla there are two monasteries of the Kagyupa sect of Buddhism. The ancient monastery was erected during 1768.
