Things to do / see in Jim Corbett National park, Uttranchal, India

The national park and tiger reserve has an amazingly diverse scene with mountains, woods and grass lands with the majestic ranges of the Himalayas The eco system with trees including Sal, Khair, Sissoo, kison, able to sustain wildlife.

 More than 630 species of trees, shrubs, herbs, climbers, ferns , pine, palms, tendu , kusum, mahua crop up in nature along with teak, eucalyptus, kachnaar, semal, dhak with their colourful blooms add splendour to the park.

Corbett is renowned for Royal Bengal Tigers and Asiatic Elephants, along with 550 species birds. The park has conservation projects for Tiger, Crocodile and Elephant the other wildlife comprises of jackals, deer, chital, hog and barking deer, sambar, Rhesus Macaque, Langur, Himalayan goral, gharial and Mugger crocodile, king cobra, Indian rock pythons and many other visible in the park.

Bird species like peafowl, jungle fowl, fly catchers, great barbet, wall creeper and other migratory birds like osprey and ducks are the subject of bird watching.
