In Alappuzha beach there is a stage for cultural programme and a pathway attractive with lines of plants and seats to enjoy the view and the gentle wind of the sea. There is an ancient pier 1000 feet in length called as Kadal Palam by the local people nearly150 years old built in 1862 to load materials into the ships as trading flourished decades ago. Now in a dilapidated condition, nobody is allowed to access the bridge.
