Rajmachi fort : This fort is located in the Lonavla district, 10 kms from Lonavala town on top of the Western Ghats. Encompassed by thick woods and set in the midst of profound valleys on three sides, tourists will need to trek by foot to see this renowned fort.
It has two other forts- the taller one in the east is Shrivardhan and the other in the west is Manoranjan. An antiquated temple of Shri Bhairavnath lies in the middle of Shrivardhan and Manoranjan.
Shrivardhan Fort : There are watchmen posts at the door, which is half circle in shape. A Buddha Cave and two colossal water tanks are the noteworthy peculiarity of this fort. One of the tanks is close to the caves and the other one close to the fort. Toward one side there are habitations staying at the fort and on the flip side are the quarters for the watchmen. The fort likewise gives a sublime perspective of Forts like Lohagad, Visapur, Tungi, Korigad, Nagfani.
