by train / rail :
There are regular local trains from Pune to Kamshet and main line trains
from Bombay’s VT station through Karjat / Lonavala. From Lonavala one
can take a local train to Kamshet.
by road / local transport: Kamshet, 16 km east of Lonavala is a three hour ride from Mumbai. State Transport, Luxury & Air Conditioned buses services along the Bombay Pune route at regular intervals. New Bombay-Pune highway recommended all the way from Bombay to Lonvala. But from Lonavala take the Old highway to Pune which runs by Kamshet. The new highway bypasses Kamshet entirely. You can alternatively take a taxi straight to Kamshet or share a taxi from Bombay- Pune route and get down at Rangoli restaurant off the highway in Kamshet.
