Trekking and adventure sports in Great Himalayan National Park, Kulu , Himachal Pradesh

One can take pleasure in adventure activities such as rappelling, river crossing and small treks, living in tents at mountain plateau etc. It is an best gateway for professional trekkers. Each year more than 20,000 trekkers mostly from Europe and other countries and from different states of visit the park during May to October. 

Several travel agents mostly based in Sai Ropa in Banjar tehsil conduct mountaineering, back pack, ski, trek and rafting for students, families and corporate.

The borders of the park are linked to the Pin Valley National Park, the Rupi Bhawa Wild life Sanctuary and Kanawar Wildlife Sanctuary. Tirthan, Sainj, Jiwa Nal and Parvati valleys provide moderate to tough treks. 

Some popular high altitude treks and routes are Pin Parvati pass through Pulga , Rakte Sar, the origin of the Sainj river, Jiwa Nala Parvati river valley
