Things to do or see in Madhav National Park, Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, India

The vegetation of the park is dry mixed deciduous in diverse terrain with hills with rare view of grasslands. The flora of the park mainly comprises of Khair, Salai, Kerdhai, Tendu, Palas and many others. Madhav National Park claims rich fauna and main attractions are deer, chinkara, chital, nilgai, sambar, chausingha or four horned antelope, black buck, sloth bear, leopard are the other animals found in the park. The tiger safari in the park offers chance to visitors to spot the tigers from close range.

The artificial lake Chandpatha at Madav National park is the ideal place to witness various rare migratory and birds of India. The rare tufted duck, ferruginous and red crested pochard and greater scaup can be spotted here during bird watching. The other species are White browed Wagtail, Stork billed, pied, ruddy and common Kingfisher, painted francolin, red and painted Spurfowl, sarus crane, spurfowl, Asian paradise fly catcher, red and green Avadavat and crested bunting.
