Namdapha National Park is situated in the Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh on the India Myanmar border having the entrance at Miau. It was nominated as a National Park in 1982 under the Wild life Protection Act and as tiger reserve under Project Tiger. Area of the park is more than 1980 square kilometres makes it the largest national park in the north east India.
Noa Dehing and Namdapha rivers are the main sources of water of the park and its varied habitats of flora and fauna. The vegetation comprises of ever green tropical, sub-tropical and alpine forests. A range of wild trees and crop plants like banana, mango, citrus, medicinal and ornamental plants, wild orchids originate here.
