Alipurduar - tourist spot in Dooars, Weat Bengal, India

Tree roofed road in Dooars the name Alipurduar is derived from three elements. The first part Ali is imitative from the name of Hedayat Ali Khan who leaves this place to fight war with Bhutan and Pur denotes dwelling and word Duar has its derivation in the name of the area Dooars. The unique name was Alipur meaning the place where Ali used to live, the Duar was further to discriminate it from the Alipore of Kolkata. 

The subdivision is situated at the intense east of West Bengal adjacent to the state of Assam.
