Munnar is located at the convergence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1,600 meter above sea level, this hill station was formerly the summer resort of the former British Government in South India. Extensive tea plantations, picturesque towns, snaking lanes and holiday amenities make this a admired resort town. 

In the midst of the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is found the Neelakurinji. This flower which bloom the hills in blue just the once in every twelve years, will come into flower next in 2018. Munnar in addition has the highest peak in South India, Anamudi, which rise over 2,695 meter. Anamudi is an perfect spot for trekking.
