The key attractions of Tezu are the Parashuram Kund, Buddha Vihar, Glow Lake and District Museum / Craft Centre. Parsuram Kund, the chief attraction is located on the bank of Lohit River, one of the major tributaries of Brahmaputra River. Situated within the Kamlang Reserve Forest region, every year numerous devotees visit in Makar Sankranti on January 14. Devotees take a holy bath in the lake to wash away the sins on this particular and auspicious occasion. The myth behind the belief are in record in the Kalika Purana, is that Parashuram the Hindu mythological personality washed away the sin of assassination of his mother in Lohit river at Bramhakund. A huge fair is held where untamed cows, exceptional fur rugs and other curios are brought by the mountain tribes. The move towards this place is rather challenging, involves a steep climb up and down.
