Tezu is an secretarial headquarters of Lohit District in Arunachal Pradesh. Positioned nearly 25 kms away from the renowned Parasuram Kund Lake, it is an ideal hill station to chill out with family and friends. It is situated at a height of 185 metres (606 feet) above the sea level.

In relation to Hindu mythology, Lord Krishna's first queen Rukmini was a Mishmi Damsel. Mishmi tribes still have a King and Queen who reside in Tezu.
