The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is located on the western tip of the Choro Island, along the Mandovi River, about 9-km from Dona Paula beach. Covering an area of about 2 sq-kms, this sanctuary is a mangrove forest. Local and migratory birds are spotted here the whole year round, which makes it an ideal place for bird watching in Goa.
National Oceanography Institute Another source of attraction of the Dona Paula beach site is the National Oceanography Institute.
