Ladakh / Sindhu Darshan / Tak Tok Festival

Sindhu Darshan Festival having focus on river Sindhu, as well known as the Indus. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir arranges the Sindhu Darshan festival at Leh during the month of May and June. In this festival, people gateher here for a Darshan and Puja (worship) of the River Sindhu (Indus). The Sindhu River is regarded as an icon of the rich culture, communal harmony and peaceful co existence in India. It moreover acts as an acknowledgment to the courageous soldiers of India who have heroically fought for their country.

Ladakh Festival The duration of celebrations of the Ladakh festival lasts for 15 days, usually from 1st September to 15th September. Music, theater, polo, archery, mask and folk dances, exhibition of the local arts and crafts are the things to see in this festival. The chief objective behind the festival is to restore and uphold the rich culture, traditions and folk heritage of Ladakh.

Tak Tok Festival is illustrious in summers at cave Gompa of Tak- Tok. One of the most important festivals of Ladakh, it insert to the tourist attraction of the region.
