World War II Cemetery This is the most renowned appeal of Kohima. It is a War Cemetery in remembrance of British Army who died in action for the period of 1941 to 1945. Preserved by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, it has well kept lawns. The roses bloom here during season. At the lowest and uppermost point of the cemetery, there are two high crosses.

State Museum One of the key attractions in Kohima it is positioned at Bayavu Hill. This museum displays the culture of Naga. There is a compilation of anthropological exhibit of all the 16 Naga tribes for instance necklaces, clan motifs, traditional attires, status pillars, a ceremonial drum, gateposts and jewellery. The underground room has animals and birds from the North Eastern hill states. Musical instruments made of bamboo and buffalo horns are as well on display in this museum. Kohima, the scenic town is the mountainous capital of Nagaland state. Located in south of Kohima District, it is furthermore one of the three Nagaland towns with Municipal council status together with Dimapur and Mokokchung. Kohima is the land of the bold and heroic Angami Naga tribe. Situated in the eastern frontiers of the Himalayan mountain array and panoramic sight of rocky Naga hills all around, Kohima is tranquil and peaceful hill station which can be visited all through the year. Floating at an elevation of 1500 meters above sea level, it is a distinctive Naga town which represents the mysterious tribal culture of the north east. The name, Kohima, was formally given by the British as they could not utter the Angami name Kewhima (Kew Hi Ma means the men of the land where the flower Kew Hi grows). Formally, Kohima was identified as Thigoma. Even though, the town was set up by the British however all the colonial structures were shattered at some stage in the Second World War.

The key attractions of Tezu are the Parashuram Kund, Buddha Vihar, Glow Lake and District Museum / Craft Centre. Parsuram Kund, the chief attraction is located on the bank of Lohit River, one of the major tributaries of Brahmaputra River. Situated within the Kamlang Reserve Forest region, every year numerous devotees visit in Makar Sankranti on January 14. Devotees take a holy bath in the lake to wash away the sins on this particular and auspicious occasion. The myth behind the belief are in record in the Kalika Purana, is that Parashuram the Hindu mythological personality washed away the sin of assassination of his mother in Lohit river at Bramhakund. Tezu is an secretarial headquarters of Lohit District in Arunachal Pradesh. Things to do / see in Kollam backwaters , Kerala , India

Mata Amritanandamayi Ashram is 10 km North of Kollam on the backwaters. The Ashram is a spiritual trust in India that conducts several charitable, medical and educational programs, that includes an orphanage, free home for widows, hostel for tribal children, hospital for cancer treatment, Ayurvedic clinic, Computer technology institute, technical school and many more. Headquarter at Vallikkavu, the ashram is almost a village having fruit stalls, shops and lodges.
Thevalli Palace on the banks of Ashtamudi Lake is an additional appeal and has attractive architecture.  

Karumadikuttan Statue : lots of interesting legends are associated with this 11th century black granite sculpture of Lord Buddha. Some people suppose that it is the statue of Jain. 

Boat cruises of the Kollam DTPC departs at 10.30 am and arrives at 06-30 pm. Normally there are only two stopovers on the way. The first for Lunch break at 1- 00 PM at Aalumkadavu and the second stop for a Tea break at 4 - 00 PM. If someone wishes to go to the Vallikavu Ashram, they can stop there and can carry on the rest of the journey with the same ticket.
