The forests of Anshi and Dandeli are affluent in exceptional rare species of flora and fauna of Anshi National Park. An extensive multiplicity of trees such as Teak (Tectona grandis), Silver Oaks (Grevillea robusta), Weeds (Lantana, Eupatorium, Parthinium), Eucalyptus, Bauhinia, Diodspyrus, Xylia xyrocarpa, Diospyrous Acacia and Bambusa are originate here.

The forest region was recognized for its manganese in the earlier period, the mining for which resulted in wildlife stirring away from the forest. In the current times of yore, the mining has been stopped up and the animals are gradually returning back. So the probabilities of observing Elephants, bison, panther are very fewer and restricted. Black Panther, sambar, spotted deer, barking deer, common langur, mouse deer, sloth bear, gaur (Indian bison), wild boars, fox, bonnet macaque, slender loris, mongoose, tiger, jungle cat, jackal, pangolin, elephants, Malabar giant squirrel and the porcupine are at the moment seen in the park. Reptiles comprise King cobra, python, rat snake, viper and the krait.In the region of 200 species of birds of India originate in the park. A number of them are Malabar hornbills, drongos, Ashy swallow shirkes, minivets, iora, brahminy kites, Ceylon frogmouth, crested serpent eagle, yellow footed pigeon, adjutant stork, black crested baza and peafowls.
