Namdapha National Park is situated in the Changlang District of Arunachal Pradesh on the India Burmese border a few kms. from the access point, Miau. It was nominated as a National Parks in India in the year 1983 under the Wildlife (Protection) Act.
At the same time, it was also acknowledged as tiger preserve under Project Tiger in India . With an entire area of 1985 sq kms, this is the biggest national park in the north-east and one of the superior sheltered areas in the country. In reality, this was amongst the earliest national parks recognized in the seven states of north east India.
